SafeRoadMaps - Meet Our Team

About the Team

SafeRoadMaps was developed out of the Center for Excellence in Rural Safety (CERS), which is based at the University of Minnesota and is directed by Lee Munich, Jr.   Thomas A. Horan, Ph.D., is the CERS Research Director and he provides policy and research guidance for SafeRoadMaps.  The SafeRoadMaps Project Director is Brian N. Hilton, Ph.D., and he has overall responsibility for the architectural, technical, and web development of SafeRoadMaps.  Several colleagues, including Benjamin Schooley, Ph.D., Warren Roberts, Peter Liu, and Rondalynne McClintock have assisted Drs. Horan and Hilton.

The SafeRoadMaps team has also received valuable support and advice from the staff at the Federal Highway Administration and from the staff of Chairman James Oberstar, Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, US House of Representatives.
