Start by either entering location information or use the dropdown menu to find a State.
Coverage:
You have a choice between using the “Line Tool” or the “Area Tool” to locate accidents in a given area.
Line Tool: Select the “Coverage” amount from pulldown menu above. Next, click on “Line Tool” button and use your mouse to trace a line along a road or freeway on the map above. Once you are done tracing, click on the “Get Results” button to the right. Then click on the triangular yellow icons on the map to get detailed information for that incident.
Area Tool: Click on “Area Tool” button and then use your mouse to trace an area on the map above. Once you are done tracing, click on the “Get Results” button to the right. Then click on the triangular yellow icons on the map to get detailed information for that incident.
Heat Map control: You can control the transparency of the Heat Map using the slider at the top right corner of map. Or you can toggle the Heat Map [ On / Off ] using link at bottom right corner of map.
